HSW-179 is a type of Soybean (Glycine Max), released by The Ohio State University in late April of 2015. It is a branded food-grade soybean variety being released due to its great yields. It is also being released because of its protein content, which is about 37.5% at a 13% moisture basis. The seed of this variety is at the size of 2100 seeds per pound, with each seed having a distinct, clear hilum.
